I am a freelance beauty editor with six years experience in beauty journalism.
I have contributed to titles that span the publishing spectrum – everything from Weekend Magazine, Metro and The London Lite – where I write a regular health and beauty column, to a whole host of women’s weeklies and glossies, including She, More and Essentials.
My niche, however, is for cutting-edge beauty copy that comes with a distinctive voice and, occasionally, a bit of attitude too. A past contributing editor to the award-winning Toni&Guy — where I picked up a Wella Nomination for Best Trend Piece — I have been channelling my off-the-wall beauty visions into indie titles and e-zines for years– and have written for i-D, Juli B and Urban Junkies, where I am Beauty Editor. I have also been contributing to Nylon for over two years – cherry-picking top London launches to grace the beauty news pages of the New York-based title. My interest in the ‘alternative’ over the ‘mainstream’ has long been channelled into my pet project — my first beauty book [see Other Projects] — and whenever I am on a rare break from assignments, I can be found scribbling notes for this work of passion… something, I have been researching for as long as I can remember.
